Other information
Materials and Design
Body, detachable gear tray, cover and spine all constructed
from 0.6mm white pre-coated steel. Standard reflector
fabricated from ultra-high purity anodised and dimpled
aluminium sheet. High rack and ultra-high rack reflectors
fabricated from flat rolled ultra-high purity anodised
aluminium sheet.
Installation
Surface mounting via 4 stand-offs on 520x240mm spacings
in the base of the luminaire or 50x500mm spacings in the
detachable hinged spine. Besa box fixing on 520mm centre
spacings in the base and 350mm equivalents in the hinged
spine. Chain suspension is via V-clips inserted through the
Besa box openings in the base. Suitable for ambient
operating temperatures of -30°C to +25°C (SON) and -20°C
to +25°C (MBF and Metal Halide).
Electrical
Cable entry through the rear of the luminaire is via either
two 20mm diameter openings or the Besa box location
holes adjacent to the rear housing. Electrical connections
are via either a 3 way polyamide screwed terminal strip or a
fused terminal strip which is available on request. All SON
and Metal Halide versions of the Biscay are fitted with timed
ignitors as standard. The mains auxiliary standby module is
situated within the gear housing and the 250W E27
tungsten-halogen lamp within the lamp housing. 240Volt,
50Hz nominal supply.
Classification for Protection and Standards
Against electric shock Class 1 protected with earthed
metalwork. Against ingress of dust and moisture IP20

BSEN 60598 2-1.
